“ROUND DANCE” is part of a lager painting titled “The Gathering”, featuring the different ways we as Indigenous people gather. In this image the people gather for tradition and community. They join hands in a circle for a round dance, a social dance to encourage community bonding and music. The participants move in a clockwise direction to the drumbeat of Mother Earth.

This image was a part of the Mâmawôayâwin indigenous programming initiative at the Edmonton Public Library in 2021

"The Gathering" painting now sits on the wall at the Abbotsfield Library in the Edmonton community of Beverly.

Each print is Limited Edition (1 of 10), and comes framed, numbered and signed by artist Lance Cardinal of the Bigstone Cree Nation. Also includes letter of authenticity.
